Rise & Shine Bright #BetterThanYesterday14 Day Healthy Cooking Journey – Breakfast Edition

At the end of the year, right before New Year’s Eve, I do this activity where I make plans for the new year—things I want to accomplish. Then I find Bible verses to support those goals because I want to be in line with the plan for my life. But before I do all that, I evaluate the year that I just lived. It’s so purposeful and effective because you get to see what worked, what didn’t, what you learned, what you need to learn, the areas where there was success, and the areas that could use some more work in the new year.

As for that last one, I ask this question to all of us, including myself. Is eating better one of those areas that could use some more work? If so, I’m inviting you to join the Rise & Shine Bright #BetterThanYesterday14 Day Healthy Cooking Journey – Breakfast Edition. When it comes to jump starting yourself to make change in how you eat, I’m a strong believer that Breakfast is the best place to start. It’s the first meal of the day! It sets the stage for what you’ll eat for the rest of the day.

When you eat a good breakfast, it helps stabilize your mood, it helps you think more clearly so you can make better choices and handle those things that will come at you, sometimes from left field. It’s not a wives-tale, understatement or meaningless cliché—breakfast is truly the most important meal of the day. Ooh that rhymed! So the purpose of this journey is to help you create a healthy eating lifestyle starting with Breakfast, through consistent, smart and delicious home-cooking that is best for your body, your mind, and your schedule. You will be guided on a road to wellness with daily themes, meal ideas, inspirational words of wellness, and support through accountability.

This is purposely called a Journey because this is more purposeful than a temporary diet or an extreme food regimen. It’s intended to make health cooking and healthy eating a habit—a lifestyle of wellness that you love. Themes are provided, so you’re not following specific recipes. This gives you the food freedom to pick nourishing ingredients that you will enjoy. You will have more choices rather than restrictions on this food journey and you will experience positive results.
